Wondering about your stance on cell phone antennas and towers. i.e. what is the best way/location you see for AT&T and other companies to place antennas? Do you recommend placing antennas on the high school and throughout neighborhoods as several other candidates do? or do you support the present ordinance that defines priority locations and set-backs from residences?

Raising taxes i.e. “Measure F” was last tried during a recession on a wide scale by Herbert Hoover; we know how well that worked.


Albany isn’t an island—other nearby cities will offer goods w/out the Measure F tax surcharge. Albany doesn’t offer much that can’t be procured elsewhere—why shop where taxes are higher.


No matter how noble the purposes behind providing more money for the City via higher taxes, please think through the unintended consequences.


Your current support for this measure is disappointing. I’m not allergic to taxes, but more of the same during the worst recession since the 1930s makes poor economic sense.

Which is more regressive, a sales tax, or a parcel tax with a senior & low-income exemption? How does prop 13 effect Albany’s city budget?
